“If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in.”
- Rachel Carson
Hello my name is Elizabeth Loza. I am an aspiring elementary school teacher who believes that every child has something amazing to offer the world. My role as an educator is to guide each child to find what it is that they have to offer. I believe in treating children with respect and admiration as they are as much a part of this world as all other human beings.
I grew up in North County San Diego in a small beach town known as Del Mar. I graduated from Torrey Pines High School in 2008. When I went away to college I decided to stay near the beach and attended the University of California Santa Barbara. From there I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree having double majored in Political Science and Spanish. I currently attend the University of San Diego and am pursuing a Master's degree in Education as well as a multiple subject teaching credential.
My parents instilled in me the importance of education above all else. For them and for our family, education was the path to a better life filled with joy and success. School is where I have always thrived and I am someone who truly enjoys the pursuit of knowledge. When I am not studying or working with children I love going to the beach and anything that takes place outdoors.
